The P&C plays a very important role in the school and meets on a regular basis. It is a chance to meet other parents in the school and contribute to the education of your child and to the school.
If you’re interested in finding out more about the P&C and what they do, have a look through the information and/or come along to one of the meetings. All parents and other citizens of our community are most welcome and encouraged to attend – you will enjoy being involved with such a friendly group of people.
P&C meetings are a chance to find out about things going on at the school, things that might impact on your child and their education as well as a chance to raise any suggestions or concerns about the school generally.
General Meetings are held weeks 3 & 7 each term in the library.
Lookout for alerts sent out by the school and on their Facebook Page
Come along and be part of the action!!
The Annual General Meeting is held in Term 1.
The P&C is a group of parents and community members who work together to improve our school and the school experience for our children. The P&C is also a forum for discussion and the exchange of information between parents and the school.
We VOLUNTEER our time to raise funds to help the school pay for learning resources and school structures. This benefits all students at our school.
At Ashfield Primary, the P&C, with the help of many other invaluable volunteers, manages the school uniform shop, and fundraising activities such as cake stalls, Bunnings sausage sizzles, raffles and gift stalls and much more.
To join the P&C, you just need to fill out a P&C membership form and pay a contribution of $1.
As a member, you will receive all meeting papers and other P&C information and may vote at meetings. Members are under no obligation to attend meetings or participate in P&C activities. But we would love to see you there!
Please review the P&C Constitution and read through the P&C Roles to familiarize yourself with the responsibilities of each officer role. If you are interested in being involved, please download a copy of the Office Bearer Form and submit it to the front office.
If you don’t want to join the P&C but would still like to be involved in some of our activities, please email us and we will put you in touch with the relevant people; or just keep an eye out for our calls for helpers in the school newsletters and Facebook page.
